Making sure an art department is keeping up with deadline-sensitive work is tough enough. Add “creative” personalities to the mix, and you’ve got a work environment that would challenge even the most seasoned military commander. But Steve, our Senior Art Director, has an admirable knack for keeping production on track and people on board. It could be his time in the Navy. It could be his stress-relieving runs (Steve can run faster and longer than three average Alstiners combined). Or it could be that Steve is truly a guy who cares. Whether he’s digging deeper to understand the full scope of projects he works on—Steve is also one of our most seasoned graphic designers—or organizing paperwork and details that would bury most by 10am, this avid deer-seeker* tackles mountains of paperwork as he would the Appalachian Trail. Not sure which artist is best for the job? Need a quote yesterday? Steve’s on it. A true team player, Steve is dedicated and open-minded—even if he thinks a co-worker’s idea stinks.
